Captured bloom images of this low flowering herb, used as a garden bed ground cover for the feet of the white Staglord in the Moon Garden'. Lobularia is intercropped with Oregano and Marjoram for in between blooming/growths. The gardens are not complete, being 50% of the way there, with these diary photos, being shot from early midsummer 2020. From the Chapter ‘Lobularia maritima' Before... Before the stag gets his antlers painted on a bed of prepared soil, awaiting the white carpet of Sweet Alice, followed by transplants of the Alice or Lobularia, coming from the back Runr garden, of which was growing across a Runr path... ... I cannot believe I put out these rocks one at a time by hand. They were salvaged from a neighbour who no longer wanted them. The Lobularia carries the stones well into the small garden bed in which they carpet, but I'm still not finished here. We are in Autumns tide of Lughnasadh here now in the Southern hemisphere, a time of transition and the humid before falls deluge. On my list of to do’s is to raise the centre of the moon garden, brick up central height to create a run off gulley/more swales, in order to avoid the swimming pool Moon garden I end up with when there is heavy rains. The heights also allow for better soil retention which in turn makes for better drought resistance from the Vernal equinox throughout Midsummer. Everything here is solar powered from lights to fountain (when its running and I have cleaned the filter :) Solar lantern switched on... Lighting both the Stag lord and the carpet of Sweet Alice he is standing on... The background Stinging Nettles light up under the darkening Elderberry bush.
