It is a good idea to adjust the timing of pruning the Lambs Ears plants, to your area. Beyond the guidelines I mention here, it is best tweaked by trial and error, to your immediate climate, seasons and soil. Usually its recommended to prune the lambs ears stems back, randomly, to just above ground level in Imbolc’s early spring after the last frost, before the emergence of new growth. It is worth noting that the ears don’t like or are more sensitive to the frost if pruned back too early, in this fashion and that the cultivator of this plant likes the warm and humid climates. Cuttings are also a time I may take roots here and there for division and propagation to keep the plant hardy. From the Chapter 'L' Botany’ What is needed;
