#witchdiary :) #potatotower #autumns #Lughnasadh
my first harvesting of the year has started a week early (Autums Lughnasadh is the FEb the 1st in the southern hemisphere) The diy potato tower was succesful with 10kgs of yeild for a 60cm x 30cm plot, now munching on vegan hashbrowns with pink salt and garlic, zuchinni on the side from todays harvest. Last night I divided 3 of my kombucha mums that had been growing for 6 months. I call them pies because they are almost 2 inches thick, dinnerplate round and need a butcher knife to quarter them. Will freeze and add them to my botanical store. Aiming to add vegan grown organic seeds in there, witchcraft tools such as intentioned spell smudge sticks and incense, candles, herbal tea blends from the garden, ontop of the suburban herbal nursery I finally get going. Everything will ethnically European dated with the correct 8 seasons in comparrison to the catholic calender everyone works off including farmers and other nurserys. I have had a witches and druidic apothecary for 9 years which I use mostly for myself and the nature, nature spirits but will also mix it into the business works - model. So tonight I will be storing the spuds, making vegan shepards pie to freeze, finishing Elder and Fennel syrup preps for the year, storing some of the freshly and harvested sunflower seeds, jarring dried harvested purple king beans, along with usual taking down bushels of herbs in the witches apothecary to add fresh harvested bundles. We have #AustraliaDay tomorrow :) and I will baking up vegan cakes to have, freeze and share. Thinking of the following combos; - Chocolate rubarb and oreo crumble - Orange Californian poppy - Vanilla cornflowers On the studies front I have paused my studies for a little until Feb or mid Feb just so I can finish editting all my plant chapters into by Genus whilst getting ontop of the witch and druidic duties with the first harvest of the year in Lughnasadh. Studies are Horticulture, Nursery, Agronomy and Landscape desighn. On the blog front Backing up editing and posting again in full once all botanical chapters are set or eddited. On the Vlog front Currently have 51 uploaded but not published yet which I will get round to. On the Nursery ptep front regarding plants that will be available Will be sharing a list of the plants that will be supplied, which will be seasonal and after a years harvested seeds will also be available for many, online store and click and collect. Homesteading elements will also be part of the store such as organic homegrown kombucha pies etc. Witchcrafting and Druidic elements will also be part of the store including witches brews of teas, runic and Ogham eldertree staves etc. Things will run on 'Natures calender' which is what real white culture is based on, the procession of the stars or planets dictating season - North and South hemispheric. Landscape aspect Available end of 2021 starting with scaping in Spring, Garden bed desgn may be available sooner depending on time and final business plan and benchmarks. Landscape will include optional plant rotation for optimal soil and minimal pests. Overal designs will be ethic based, sensory to include the four elements, scent, feel, sound and lastly 3D (No flat designs). Aspects from my previous Permaculture design will be used such as cyclic planning, soil testsing, topography mapping, self sufficiency and repurposing. ... Back to now, Im now preparing a new potato tower for purple congo taters, so hopefully it will be fully ready 3 weeks from now including the paint up and most imp soil prep. Early Feb if Im on track I will start doing my batches of sourdough bread to freeze and bulk pizza doughs... Yep its alot of work but its not work when you love what you do and rather be doing nothing else :) Raven Photodiary 'Greening at Bealtaine, through to Litha' potted, Jasminum officinale (Iasman coitcheann)12/30/2020

There's currently a 10 month backlog of posts to be published across all of my websites including this one. The drop down tabs are also being updated along with links, so some links may not be current. As I go through editing links and loading up posts, these will be corrected. Permaculture notes and terms are also being added throughout for ease of use with Permaculture. As a qualified Permaculturist I'm also Vegan as my Ancestral Druidic line (Mothers side 'Castillo' castle adders) expects, so Permaculture reference will be laid out with this in mind. The seasonal almanac will also be added to within the context of the seasonal wheel/of the year as per my father's ancestral line of Witches, dictates. Wink from the Wics/Anglo sax/Germanic. Being a one person team, this will take me awhile on top of my practice, so thank you ahead of time for your patience.
